Research IT will be running two in person Introduction to HPC Systems training courses in March 2022. (The same material will be used at both, there is only a need to attend one).
There are no prerequisites for this course. The course is intended for those who have never run a job on our or anyone else’s cluster before and intend to use our clusters for their research. If you have experience using HPC clusters or if you are already successfully submitting jobs to our clusters it will likely be too basic for you.

Please note that while attendance is free, preregistration is required to secure your place and places are limited. There is a €100 charge for booking a place and not cancelling with sufficient notice though. (You will not be charged if you develop COVID-19 symptoms in advance of the course and can’t attend, please let us know when you are able to if that happens).
We are limiting the maximum number of attendees at each session to 12. The first 12 applicants for each date who only apply for one course will be prioritised. Applicants after that will be put on the wait list for their chosen course date. Please only apply for one course. Applicants who apply for both courses will be de-prioritised for both.
